Spanish for foreigners
In order to be able to access universities in Spain, it is necessary to take the Selectividad UNED. Our partner Academia Puerta Real has been offering specific courses for the preparation of these exams for foreign students for more than 25 years, being the school with the highest number of students in Andalusia and the one that obtains the best results.
Our plan of studies
It consists of preparation for university entrance combined with the Spanish for Foreigners course, different modalities (face-to-face or online) and extracurricular activities:
Preparation for university access
From October to the end of May, we teach the contents of each subject of the Specific Competence Tests (PCE) in order to prepare the access exams through UNED.
We teach three hours per week per subject
From Monday to Friday, divided into two classes of one hour and a half.
The teaching staff are highly experienced
And have a University Degree in the subject they teach.

To resolve any doubts you may have about the different subjects on Friday afternoons from 17.30-20.00.

Spanish course for foreigners
Academia Puerta Real is an Authorised Examination Centre SIELE (International Service for the Evaluation of the Spanish Language) number 31005 by the Cervantes Institute.
In addition to the preparation for Selectividad UNED, all non-Spanish speaking students have a course ranging from 7.5 to 25 hours per week, depending on their level in our language at the beginning of the course.
In addition to learning Spanish, you will be able to enjoy EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES to get to know Spanish culture better:
- Visit to the Alhambra, both at night and during the day.
- Visit to the Generalife.
- Route through Albaicín and Sacromonte, with a visit to a flamenco show.
- Visit to the Cathedral and the Chapel of the Catholic Monarchs.
- Granada de tapas: a tour of the most emblematic bars in the city so that students can discover part of our gastronomy.
- Gymkhanas, in the open air through the streets of Granada, with the aim that the students get to know the Spanish culture, monuments and people of our city.
- Visit to the Science Park.
- Book Day: activities focused on promoting the reading of classic books of Spanish literature.
- Cinema Day: every Friday afternoon, viewing of Spanish series and films.
FACE TO FACE - ONLINE
The course can be taken either face-to-face or online. Many students start the course online until they obtain their student VISA and when they come to Spain they join the classes in person.
Student VISA and requirements to study in Spain

The requirements for the application of the student VISA are the following:
- To have guaranteed the necessary economic means to cover the costs of your stay and return to your country in accordance with the amounts required by Spanish regulations, which monthly amount represents 100% of the IPREM.
- To have a health insurance contracted with an Insurance Company authorised to operate in Spain.
- To have no criminal record in Spain and in the countries where you have resided for the last 5 years.
- Not suffer from any of the diseases that may have serious public health repercussions.
- To have accommodation during the period of your stay in Spain.
Return and refund:
Those students who, despite following the instructions of our legal services, comply with the documentation and other requirements necessary to obtain the student VISA, have been denied, may request a refund by sending a copy of the letter of rejection, in this case the amount of the refund will be reduced by the corresponding part of €400 for administration costs.
